Organic Skincare Tips for Oily Skin

Organic Skincare Tips for Oily Skin

A good way to know if you have oily skin is by pressing a tissue against your face. If some oil comes off on the tissue, it is an indication that you’ve got oily skin. Also, oily skin tends to be much thicker and is more prone to open pores, blackheads, and blockages. There are various products available in the market that promise to solve these skin problems. However, there are many chemicals and preservatives added to these products which often leads to side effects. Using organic skin care products from trusted sellers, or making them at home is one of the important tips for organic skin care. Skincare routine includes three main steps which are cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Cleansing
Cleansing is a really important part of looking after oily skin. To stop the skin from getting blocked and preventing blackheads and scars, avoid using products with alcohol content in them. This over cleanses your skin, which makes the skin secrete more oil, eventually making it more oily. A good way to cleanse your face is with an oil-rich cleanser. You can make an organic cleanser at home with gram flour and olive oil. Take equal quantities of gram flour and olive oil and mix them well to make a paste. Gently massage the mixture on your face for two minutes before you wash it off with lukewarm water. Gram flour helps in removing dirt and extra oil without damaging the skin. Olive oil helps in maintaining the pH level of the skin, which nourishes the skin and makes it look healthy.

Toning
Toning the skin helps in removing excess dirt from pores, and also helps in correcting and maintaining the pH level. This helps in controlling acne and removing dead skin cells too. An important tip for organic skin care is to use an alcohol-free toner for oily skin to maintain the pH level of your skin. Green tea is an important ingredient for anyone with oily skin. You can make a homemade toner with green tea and tea tree oil. Take 1/3 cup of brewed green tea and add three to four drops of tea tree oil and mix them well. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and use it daily after your face wash every day and night. Spray the mixture on a cotton pad and dab it all around your face after cleansing. Green tea acts as an antioxidant which gives you healthy-looking skin, while tea tree oil fights acne.

Moisturizing
Moisturizing your skin is a very important part of any skincare routine. This tip for organic skincare has to be followed by everyone to maintain healthy-looking skin. If the skin is not moisturized regularly it will develop cracks, wrinkles, and acne which allows the skin to age sooner. A light-weight moisturizer can be made at home to hydrate the skin without making it greasy. To make this moisturizer, take one teaspoon of aloe vera gel and one tablespoon of rosewater, mix them well. Apply this mixture twice a day after toning your skin by massaging it for five minutes. This improves blood circulation as well. Aloe vera hydrates the oily skin while rose water soothes it and prevents excess oil production.
